DIPLO INFLUENCER PROGRAM POLICY

This policy governs the Diplo Influencer affiliate program. It supplements Diplo's General Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.

By submitting an application to the program, you agree to all the rules below.

1. WHAT IS DIPLO INFLUENCER?

Diplo Influencer is an affiliate program that allows an individual (the “Affiliate” or “Influencer”) to promote events published on Diplo and earn a commission on the ticket sales they actually generate.

The Affiliate has two tracking tools:

• The universal link (getdiplo.com/r/YOUR-CODE): places an attribution cookie. Any sale made by the visitor during the 30-day attribution window is attributed to the Affiliate.
• The personal promo code: applied at checkout, it gives the buyer a discount and immediately attributes the sale to the Affiliate.

2. ADMISSION TO THE PROGRAM

2.1 Conditions

• Be 18 years of age or older
• Have an active Diplo Influencer account
• Provide accurate and up-to-date information
• Set up a valid payout account with our payment partner

2.2 Application

An application can be for:

• Diplo (general program): approval is granted by the Diplo team.
• A specific event: approval is granted by the event's organizer.

All applications are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. No admission is automatic, and a refusal does not need to be justified.

2.3 Withdrawal and Termination

The Affiliate may withdraw their application before approval (status “Cancelled”). After approval, either party may terminate the relationship at any time; commissions already validated remain due.

3. SALES ATTRIBUTION

• The attribution window is 30 days from the click for all links (universal or promo code).
• A new click on the link resets the window. After this period, the attribution expires, and no commission is due.
• In case of a conflict, the last promo code applied at checkout prevails over the cookie.
• A cancelled, refunded, disputed (chargeback), or fraudulent sale does not entitle the Affiliate to any commission; a commission already paid may be offset against future payouts.
• Complimentary, free, or manually issued tickets by the organizer are not commissionable.

4. COMMISSIONS AND FEES

4.1 Affiliate Commission

Each organizer freely sets the compensation for their affiliates, within the following ranges:

4.2 Diplo Affiliate Fee

Diplo charges a 7% affiliate fee, calculated on the Affiliate's commission and withheld from it. This fee covers link tracking, sale attribution, calculation, statements, and payout processing.

This fee is not charged to the organizer and never appears on the buyer's invoice: it applies only to the relationship between Diplo and the Affiliate.

4.3 Example

For a 65.00 $ CA ticket with an affiliate commission of 10.00 $ CA: Diplo withholds 7% of that commission, i.e. 0.70 $ CA, and the Affiliate receives 9.30 $ CA net. The organizer only pays the 10.00 $ CA commission they set, in addition to their plan fees and the payment partner's fees.

4.4 Commission statement

The Affiliate can download a commission statement from their dashboard at any time, detailing gross commissions earned, affiliate fees withheld, and the net amount receivable.

5. PAYOUTS

• Diplo does not hold any balance on behalf of the Affiliate: commissions are paid out through the Affiliate's payout account, securely operated by our payment partner, Stripe.
• The Affiliate is solely responsible for the accuracy of their banking and tax information.
• A payout may be suspended in the event of an incomplete account, suspected fraud, or an ongoing investigation.
• The Affiliate acts as an independent contractor: they are responsible for their own tax obligations (income tax returns, GST/QST where applicable, relevant tax slips).

5.1 Where to Link Your Bank Account

The Affiliate never enters bank details in Diplo. They must link a Stripe Express payout account from the Creators dashboard → Earnings → “Link my account”.

• Stripe requires identity verification (KYC) and the destination bank account, on its own secure pages.
• Changing the bank account, statements and payout frequency are managed in the Stripe Express dashboard (“My payouts” button).
• Diplo only sees the account status (to complete, under review, active), whether payouts are enabled, and amounts; never the bank account number.
• Until the account is active, commissions remain pending and no payout is triggered.

6. PROMOTION RULES

The Affiliate agrees to promote events honestly and transparently.

Permitted: organic social media posts, stories, videos, newsletters to a consenting audience, word-of-mouth, original creative content.

Prohibited:

• Spam (unsolicited messages, mass mailings, automated comments)
• Purchasing advertising that uses the Diplo brand or an organizer's name as a keyword without written permission
• False promises, fake discounts, incorrect prices, or made-up dates
• Impersonating Diplo, an organizer, or an artist
• Coupon sites, browser extensions, or cookie injection techniques
• Self-attribution (using your own link or code for your own purchases)
• Any hateful, discriminatory, defamatory, violent, or illegal content

The Affiliate must clearly disclose their affiliate relationship (e.g., “affiliate link,” “paid partnership”), in accordance with applicable advertising regulations.

7. BRAND AND CONTENT

The Affiliate may use official event visuals and the Diplo logo without modification for promotional purposes only. This license is non-exclusive, revocable, and ends with participation in the program.

8. SUSPENSION AND PENALTIES

In the event of a breach, Diplo or the organizer may, without prior notice:

• suspend the Affiliate's promo code and link;
• cancel commissions related to non-compliant sales;
• permanently remove the Affiliate from the program.

9. PERSONAL DATA

As part of the program, Diplo processes identification, application, click-tracking, and payout data. This processing is described in the Privacy Policy.

The Affiliate never has access to buyers' personal data: they only see aggregated statistics (clicks, sales, amounts, commissions).

10. MODIFICATIONS

Diplo may modify this policy, commission rates, and ranges at any time. Changes apply to sales made after they take effect. A notification will be sent to active affiliates.

11. GOVERNING LAW AND CONTACT

This policy is governed by the laws of the province of Québec and the applicable laws of Canada.
